Koforidua Technical University courses, cut off points and requirements for WASSCE candidates is A1 to C6 in 3 core subjects and 3 electives excluding Social Studies, SSCE candidates must pass 3 core subjects (A-D).

GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR 4-YEAR B.TECH PROGRAMMES
SSSCE Applicants
cut off points for Koforidua Technical University for an SSCE applicant is that, an applicant must have passes (A-D) in three (3) core subjects namely English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science; and must possess three (3) passes (A-D) in relevant elective subjects. The cumulative aggregate must be 24 or better.
WASSCE Applicants
Credit passes (A1-C6) in three core subjects namely English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science; and must possess three (3) credit passes (A1-C6) in three relevant elective subjects. The cumulative aggregate must be 36 or better.
(GCE ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level Applicants
cut off points for Koforidua Technical University for GCE applicants must possess six (6) GCE ‘O’ Level passes including English Language, Mathematics and General Science plus three (3) GCE ‘A’ Level passes in the relevant courses.
v) Applicants from Technical Institutions
- Applicants from Technical Institutes must possess credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science plus credit passes in relevant elective courses.
Additionally, applicants from Technical Institutes with the requisite elective passes without passes in English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science may be admitted to a two (2) month intensive bridging (pre-degree) programme.
Consequently, after passing a selection examination, they will be formally admitted to their programmes of choice.
vi) Applicants with Technician Certificate
Applicants with passes in Motor Vehicle Technicians II (MVT II) may also be considered for admission and will be enrolled at Level 200.
Applicants with passes in Motor Vehicle Technicians III (MVT III) may also be considered for admission and will be enrolled at Level 300.
- vi) HND Applicants
- HND graduates with the requisite specialization will enroll at level 300.
- HND graduates with requisite specialization will enroll at level 200 (Mechatronics)
- Applicants with University Diploma in the relevant subjects will enroll at level 300.
- Ordinary Technical Diploma (OTD) will enroll at level 200.
vii) Technician Applicants
At least Part II and III Technicians Certificate Holders in EET or Radio & Television or
Telecommunication Technician plus English, Mathematics and Science or
EET II or Radio & Television Technician II or
Telecommunication Technician II with passes in English, Mathematics & Science at the SSSCE/WASSCE level.
viii) Applicants with DBS Certificates
- Applicants with DBS Certificates must possess credit passes in Four (4) WASSCE subjects, including English Language and Mathematics
- Holders of DBS Marketing DBS Purchasing and Supply and DBS Secretaryship may be enrolled at Level 200 on the respective BTech Programme.
- ix) Mature Applicants
- Applicants must be twenty-five (25) years old and must show proof of age with Birth Certificate and Ghana Card.
- Applicants must pass a written test in English Language, Mathematics and General Knowledge to be conducted by the Koforidua Technical University.

GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR HND PROGRAMMES
- SSSCE/WASSCE APPLICANT
- SSSCE Candidates: Passes (A-D) in three (3) core subjects namely English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science/Social Studies; and must possess a minimum of D in any three (3) of the passes relevant to the area of specialization.
- WASSCE Candidates: Passes (A1-D7) in three (3) core subjects namely English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science/Social Studies; and must possess a minimum of C6 in any three (3) of the passes relevant to the area of specialization.
- Alternatively, SSSCE/WASSCE Applicants with passes (A-D)/(A1-C6) in three core subjects namely English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science/Social Studies; and a minimum of D/C6 in any two (2) of the passes relevant to the area of specialization are eligible to apply.
- GBCE/ ‘O’/A’LEVEL/ABCE APPLICANTS
Five (5) GBCE /GCE ‘O’-Level credit passes (including English Language and Mathematics) plus at least two (2) GCE ‘A’ level/ABCE passes excluding General Paper.
- APPLICANTS FROM TECHNICAL SCHOOLS (CERTIFICATE II APPLICANTS)
Applicants must have passes in three (3) subjects including English Language and Mathematics and Integrated Science plus three (3) relevant elective subjects/trade courses.
- DBS APPLICANTS
Four (4) SSSCE/WASSCE passes including English and Mathematics plus at least three (3) passes in relevant DBS subjects.
- TEACHER’S CERTIFICATE.
Applicant must have a Three-Year Post-Secondary Certificate or Four-Year Certificate ‘A’ with a minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience, plus three (3) GCE O-Level or SSSCE/WASSCE passes in relevant elective subjects.
- Mature Applicants
- Applicants must be twenty-five (25) years old and must show proof of age with Birth Certificate and Ghana Card.
- Applicants must pass a written test in English Language, Mathematics and General Knowledge to be conducted by the Koforidua Technical University.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The DBS program requires four SSSCE/WASSCE passes, four GCE O-Level passes, four GBCE (RSA II) passes, or a NACVET/NVTI Typist/2 or 3 passes in Stenographer Certificate. The DBS program also requires four SSSCE/WASSCE passes, four GCE O-Level passes, and four GBCE (RSA II) passes. Candidates must have a 2-year certificate in fashion design and textiles, a National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) Fashion Certificate, or an intermediate dressmaking/fashion certificate. Other requirements include a Construction Technician Certificate, Mechanical Engineering Technician, Electrical Engineering Technician, Catering Certificate II, NVTI Grade II or JHS Certificate with working experience, and a Certificate in Draught Manship.
Entry Requirement
Additionally, the FOE may consider applicants who have a D7 in any of the three core subjects. However, they must also have three relevant elective subjects, including Physics and Elective Mathematics, with an aggregate not exceeding 36. Furthermore, these applicants will need to undergo a two-month intensive bridging (pre-degree) program before being formally admitted. Subsequently, they will need to pass a selection examination to qualify for the following programs

- E) PRE-HND PROGRAMME
The National Board for Professional and Technicians Examinations (NABPTEX) currently under the auspices of CTVET has designed an access course for Technical/Vocational Institute graduates into HND Programmes.

In addition, candidates would be required to obtain at least 50% in each of the three (3) subjects namely: English Language, Mathematics and Science.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Technical/Vocational Applicants who have deficiencies in their Core Courses
- Applicants must have a minimum of a Craft Course. Or
- Applicants must have MET I, MVT I and EET I or its equivalent. Or
- Applicants should have a minimum qualification of Intermediate or Craft Certificate or its equivalent from a recognized examination body. With regards to Hospitality Management, applicants must have Cookery 812/2.
